Summer League and Junior League

Summer League Campaign is under way and after the first week the Mens 1st team in Class 1 picked up 3 points, 2nds in Class 3 won 4 pts, 3rd team in Class 5 got 3pts and 4ths also in Class 5 won 4 pts, the 5th team in Class 6 had a tough match and hopefully will put some points up next week.
The Ladies Premier team won 2 points, 2nds in Class 1 got 4, the 3rds also 4, team of the week 4ths won all 5 points and the 5th team won 2 pts.
Great start and well done to all the players and thank you to the supporters whose presence always makes a difference.
This Friday, 18 May, the Men's 1st team are playing at HOME at 7.30pm so do drop into the Club and watch some good tennis.
On Saturday the 4th team are Home at 12 noon and the 5th Home at 2pm.
On Sunday 20th May the U18 Girls team play at HOME at 2 pm and all support welcome to wish them well.
The U12 Mixed team are away to Celbridge at 4.30pm and we wish them all the best in their S/Final.
Next week Tuesday 22, 5th Ladies team HOME at 7.30pm.
The 3rds are at Home on Wednesday 23rd at 7.30pm.
The other teams are all playing away.

125 Year Celebrations - Family Day

Congratulations to all those parents and children who took part in Family Day 125. We had over 70 players and almost 100 attend our BBQ !
The weather was superb and the club looked absolutely wonderful!
Sincere thanks to Alison Rennick, Judy Byrne, Patricia D’arcy and Anna Sargent for all their help running the event, Deirdre J for her trojan work behind the scenes, Ed Hanlon for putting up the gazebo and John and Mary O’Toole for helping us decorate the club and have the flowers looking so beautiful!
Paul Quinlan and his team provided a delicious BBQ so all went home fed and watered!!
The over 12 event will be scheduled for September.

Junior succes in Templeogue Junior Open 2018

Congratulations to:
U18 Girls Doubles Winners Juliana Carton & partner Aisling O'Connor.
U18 Girls Doubles Finalists Breda Brennan & partner Grace O'Reilly.
U12 Girls Doubles Winners Kate Brennan & partner Rebecca O'Mahony.
The spectators were treated to some really good matches despite the difficult weather conditions during the Open week.

The Leinster U18 & U12 Leagues

Sunday 11th March:
U18 Boys 1st team - Won 3/0 v Newtownpk. Team Tom Brophy, James Brophy, Marcus Boggan & Hugo Moran. Well done.
U18 Boys 2nd Team - Lost 2/1 in Shankill. Harry Sheridan, Finn Sheahan, Matthew Dowley & Gavin O'Donnell. (The doubles won).
U12 Girls 1st Team- Won 2/1 in Sandycove. Caroline Danaher & Kate Brennan, Lucy Roche & Sorcha Smith O'Connor, Alice Grennan & Kate Byrnes. (Nr 1 +2 doubles won).
U12 Boys 1st team- won 2/1 v Glenageary. Cormac Sheahan & Charlie Martin, Naoto Tomizawa & Charlie Kennedy, Harry Miller & Michael Heffernan. (Nr 2+3 doubles won).
U12 Mixed Team-won 3/0 v Blackrock. Joe Kelleher & Cian O'Neill, Jessie Miller & Alana Costello, Ben McElligott & Eva O'Grady. Well done.

Ladies Winter League

The Ladies Winter League Class 2 team, captained by Judy Byrne, won their section without dropping a point. They had to play a playoff match  on Wednesday after it got cancelled due to the snow. Having won that the next match was on Saturday 10 March at 9am when the Ladies lined out against Sandycove 1st in a thrilling Q/Final match and won 2 with an unfinished match at nr1. The Semi-Final was held the next day in Donnybrook against Sutton 1 who arrived with a very strong team. It was not Donnybrook's day but what a campaign the panel had.
Miriam O'Meara & Judy Byrne, Caroline Fitzpatrick & Anne Marie Quirke, Melanie Allen & Bairbre MacHale and ably assited by subs Chanelle Dunne and Deirdre Johnston.

Donnybrook LTC wins U14 Stars 'n Stripes Cup 2018

Congratulations to the U14 Stars 'n Stripes team who won the Cup on Saturday, 10 March, beating Templeogue.
The President William Devine presented the Cup and medals to the team: Karl Deegan, Dylan O'Neill, Jamie Boxwell, Louis Prehn, Sam Galvin and Andrew Morgan. Jane McElligott, Grace Martin, Lara Sheahan, Emma O'Beirne, Lasara Lynch and Honor O'Reilly.
Thank you to all who supplied wonderful cakes and buns for the Afternoon Tea. Also thank you  to Anita O'Neill who also arrived with an Easter Egg for all the players.

Congratulations Osgar

Osgar O'hOisin wins the Men's Singles National Indoors Senior Championships Saturday 6 January 2018, beating David Mullins in the Final.

Next month he will travel as part of the Irish Davis Cup Team to Denmark. Best of luck Osgar.

Junior Winter National Matchplays December 2017

Juliana Carton, U18 GS Winner - Congratulations.
Well done also to Caroline Danaher, 4th in the U12s and Kate Brennan who finished 7th.To Kate Gardiner, 4th in U16s and to Breda Brennan who achieved the best score against the ultimate winner!
To Emma Brennan and Maria Blake finishing 11th and 12th place in the U18s.
