to Shauna Casey who represented Leinster and helped them win the U18 Junior Inter-Provincial Championships this week.

to Sahir Mangat and Juliana Carton who will represent Leinster today/tomorrow  in the U14 Junior Inter-Provincial Championships.

to James Fagan who won the Shankill Junior Open Boys U12 Doubles with Johnny Wilkinson.

to Lauren Johnston who won the Shankill Junior Open U14 Girl's Doubles with Grace O'Reilly.

and Donnybrook ltc also had success with some of our Juniors who played in the Carrickmines Junior Open in June: Sahir Mangat won the U14 Boy's Singles and Kate Gardiner won the U14 Girl's Singles. Juliana Carton won the U16 Girl's Singles and partnered Kate who were Finalists in the U14 Girl's Doubles. Kate Gardiner also was a Finalist in the U18 Girl's Doubles.

Jerry Sheehan, President Donnybrook ltc, with Fergus Murphy, professional ATP Tour Umpire. Fergus presented a talk on tennis situations, rules and stories from the Tour. The Juniors present posed some interesting questions. Great evening had by all.

A big well done to all Donnybrook Juniors who took part in the Java Republic Malahide Junior Open last weekend 29th April - 2nd May 2016. In spite of the challenging weather with all seasons in a weekend - rain, wind, hail, sunshine - our juniors did the club proud taking home a number of trophies on finals day. 

A huge well done to U14 Girls Winner Juiliana Carton, U14 Boys Winner Sahir Mangat, U18 Boys Winner Cian Maguire and U16 Girls Runner-up Maria Blake. Well done also to Frank Fagan (Boys U12) and Shauna Casey (Girls U18) who reached the quarter finals in a very competitive field. Well done also to the many other Donnybrook Juniors who participated over both Qualifying and Main Draw weekends.

Also a big thank you and well done to Owen Casey for all the coaching and early morning warm-ups over the weekend getting our players ready for their matches. No Bank Holiday weekend lie-in's for Owen last weekend!

Congratulations to the Donnybrook ltc Juniors who played in the Templeogue Junior Open. Juliana Carton won the U14 Girl's Singles and was a Finalist with Kate Gardiner in the U14 Girl's Doubles. Shauna Casey was a Finalist partnering Caragh Courtney in the U16/18 Girl's Doubles. Orla O'Donnell won the U14 Girl's Plate. Ethan was an U10 Boy's Singles Winner. Well done to all. The Ladies 2nd team, captained by Melanie Allen, had a superb weekend. On Saturday they beat Monkstown to achieve promotion to Class 2 next year. Yesterday they beat Clontarf 2 to reach the Final next Sunday. The supporters witnessed a wonderful display of tennis. Well done Ladies.
